This former residence of the Dukes of Schleswig-Holstein is one of the oldest castles in the country. Built during the Thirty Years' War, this building, directly on the shore of the Great Eutin Lake, has a rich history. With its picture gallery, chapel, knight's hall with magnificent chandeliers and the chambers of Duke Friedrich Carl it was also used as a cadet school with boarding school.
