Discover one of the oldest wineries in the world
When two establishments with an exceptional appreciation of heritage, character and the finest culinary traditions come together, the result is a culinary journey of a very special kind. This summer, treat yourself to a delightful break of at least two nights at Weissenhaus, with all its delights, and discover your own personal sanctuary and retreat within over 75 hectares of natural parkland, where you can refocus on the beauty around you. For this reason, as part of our partnership with the Karthäuserhof, we recommend an unforgettable and delightful event at the Bootshaus restaurant.
Enjoy a finely crafted menu on Saturday, 20th June 2026, accompanied by exquisite wines from the Karthäuserhof vineyard, which harmoniously complement the flavours of the cuisine. In a relaxed and intimate atmosphere, moments full of elegance and culinary delights will unfold.
‘Crafted with patience, enjoyed with calm’
On Saturday, 20th June 2026, experience a wine event in a class of its own when the eighth oldest winery in the world visits Weissenhaus. The Karthäuserhof winery in Trier on the Moselle has been owned by the Belger family for seven generations and is known as the ‘cradle of world-famous Rieslings’. Precision and sensitivity in the vineyard, hand-picked grapes, respectful treatment of nature and the special terroir result in wines with incomparable character and immense ageing potential that enchant wine lovers all over the world.

We are delighted to present a carefully curated multi-course menu, including a tasting of accompanying wines, in the exclusive setting of our Bootshaus terrace. Enjoy a relaxed, informal atmosphere, as if amongst friends, with lively conversation, all set against a charming backdrop and complemented by the fascinating stories and entertaining anecdotes shared by a representative of the winery about the estate and the winemaking process. The culinary elements blend seamlessly in this authentic setting. A gentle sea breeze and the nature-protected dune landscape with views of the azure-blue Baltic Sea make this elegant culinary journey a wonderful summer memory.
Just like some of the wines from the Karthäuserhof, the number of seats available on the terrace of our Bootshaus restaurant is limited.
